Comrade Lalita spent almost eight years in jail at different times. She earned a reputation of an accountant and logistic officer in prison. She never went to battle field but her contribution to the people’s war was invaluable. She always helped her fellow comrades in prison with their budget and logistics. She was a platoon commander of 14th Battalion B Company. She was nominated as a parliamentary member under proportional representation.
